Helianthus (Hee-Lee-ANN-Thus) means SUNFLOWER.

Sunflowers grow in wetlands, prairies, and forests. We felt that this adaptable native species represents the essence of who we are as a company.

that are good for the planet as well as attractive to people. Helianthus is a certified small business enterprise providing full-service landscape architecture services that places an emphasis on regenerative and ecologically responsible solutions for landscape development.

We are unique in that we operate at the intersection of landscape design and wetlands ecology and have a whole systems approach to sustainable site management. Our approaches are environmentally focused, innovative, and multidisciplinary.

Our team is experienced at meeting Federal, State, and local permitting requirements for wetland and natural resource impacts, and we are licensed to operate in Wisconsin and Illinois.

We take clients through the design process from concept to construction

providing plans that enhance the site’s natural resources. We also design for habitat remediation—for bees, pollinators, birds, or other wildlife. We provide maintenance inspection services of native plantings and post-construction evaluation to ensure optimal performance of the landscape. If your project has a natural resource component, we can help.

Helianthus is built on…

…collaboration and respect. We believe we can be stronger working as teams—pooling our talents with others in our network will achieve greater results.
